Class Description
This level is for swimmers who are able to swim 15 feet independently but are working on swimming in water over their head.
Requirements to join level
Must be able to:
- Swim with their face in the water blowing bubbles
- Swim independently front 15 feet
- Back float independently for 10 seconds
Focus: Stroke Development and Rotary Movement
Learning Objectives
- Bob 10 times exchanging air
- Flutter kick on front and back for 25 yards
- Back streamline with kick 10 feet
- Elementary backstroke for 25 yards
- Side glide on both sides
- Front streamline with kick, then roll to side
- Freestyle with flutter kick for 12 yards
- Backstroke with flutter kick for 12 yards
- Tread water for 30 seconds
- Introduction to diving/Sitting dive
